Celebrating 25 years

The Arts Business Institute partners with arts organizations, universities, economic development organizations and, government arts councils to create one and two-day professional development workshops for artists and makers. Workshops are designed to be local fundraisers for our local sponsors.

100 workshops and 6,000 graduates

Our unique turnkey approach offers everything you need to offer your members and art community a high-level professional development experience. No grants are needed to bring a workshop to your members. For most sponsoring organizations, an ABI Workshop is a money-making opportunity!

ABI provides a compelling selection of lecture topics, led by nationally-known speakers, and valuable handout materials. We create your workshop landing page, process registrations and promote your workshop nationwide. Our staff maintains the roster, communicates with students, and provides marketing support.

Our flexible format provides partners and sponsors with the ability to create a workshop event with customized curriculum for your specific community needs. Fulfill your mission to support the visual artists you serve by scheduling your own art business workshop event.

Community Development Assistance

The Arts Business Institute partners with art nonprofits, business development centers and art education organizations across the nation to provide specialized technical assistance and business education for studio artists, craft professionals and creative entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses to a national audience of collectors and galleries.

Cost $0

Most non-profit arts and educational partners use the workshop event as a fundraising opportunity.  Just 30 paid workshop attendees cover most of the expenses. Local  community grants and corporate donations provide profit or scholarships for low-income participants.  A refundable deposit is required to schedule a workshop.
